ANNE BAXTER ANTELOPE BEDFRAME FROM "THE TEN COMMANDMENTS" Paramount, 1956 A magnificent bedframe seen in the anteroom of Nefretiri, as portrayed by Anne Baxter, in the Cecil B. de Mille directed Biblical epic. Constructed of wood, this piece has a headboard painted with Egyptian-themed geometric designs, cast iron back feet styled as hoofs and cast iron front feet styled as elaborately horned antelope heads. The remainder of the frame is painted black and comes with a piece of plywood which can support a modern day mattress. Seen in two different scenes; when Nefretiri looks out her window as Moses passes by and then when Moses comes to visit her and puts his red drape on one of the antelope heads, this piece is now missing some of its original paint and has some minor nicks and chips, but is still a remarkable piece of set dressig from a classic Hollywood film. 86 inches x 58 inches x 17 inches
