A fine gold, painted enamel, and seed pearl set minute repeating, keyless hunter pocketwatch for the Chinese market unsigned, case number 10642, late 19th century The frosted gilt three quarter plates movement jewelled to the hammers, bimetallic balance with swan neck regulation and counter posed lever escapement, repeating the hours, quarters and minutes on two gongs by operating the slide in the band, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer pulsations ring, subsidiary seconds, decorative gold hands and sweep centre seconds, the gold case with a painted enamel scene of a group of minstrals to the front cover and the portrait of a lady to the back cover, the rings of the covers set with seed pearls, the band with a translucent green enamel decoration, with original presentation box, case numbered 55 mm. diam.
