An unusual 18K gold hunter case two train minute repeating grande and petite sonnerie perpetual calendar chronograph keyless and keywound lever clock watch with phases of the moon Unsigned, no. 1676, case stamped with casemaker's initials L.W. and London date letter for 1886 The three quarter plate gilt-finished jewelled two train lever movement wound by turning the crown to either side or with a key, screwed gold chatons, bimetallic compensation balance with gold poising screws, minute repeating and en passant grande and petite sonnerie striking on two polished steel hammers onto two gongs, gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer scale calibrated for 300 units, four subsidiary dials indicating month combined with leap year indicator, day, date and phases of the moon combined with constant seconds and lunar calendar, in plain massive circular case, two levers for strike/silent, quarters/hours sonnerie underneath the bezel, repeating slide and chronograph button in the band, case and cuvette numbered, stamped with casemaker's initials L.W. and London date letter for 1886 55 mm. diam.
