Anthony, Susan B. A good group of letters signed by women's rights pioneer Susan B. Anthony (7 ALS, 5 TLS, plus one ALS by her niece and personal secretary Lucy Anthony, and 3 printed documents), spanning her career from 1870 to 1904, to various individuals involved in the suffrage movement including Parker Pillsbury, joint editor of the women's rights radical weekly, The Revolution founded by Anthony in 1868. Content chiefly concerns travel to and coordination of suffrage conventions, appeals (both personal and general) to start local suffrage clubs, Anthony's lecture circuit, promotion and distribution of Anthony's monumental history of the movement, History of Woman Suffrage and other early feminist literature. All documents housed in folding cases. Condition is generally good to excellent. A complete inventory will be supplied on application to the department.
