(8vo) 19.5x13 cm (7½x5"), vellum-backed paper covered boards, spine labels lettered in gilt Francesco Antonio Zaccaria was an Italian theologian, historian, and prolific writer. He was appointed librarian at the Jesuit professed house in Rome, and was a member of at least 19 Italian academies. This set is from the from Mt. St. Alphonsus Seminary in Esopus, NY. Scarce. Lot Amendments Condition: Fair amount of wear and soiling to bindings, rubbing to extremities, library labels at heels of spines, fraying to head of spine of Vol. 4; abraded areas to front pastedowns where bookplates were removed, library card holders affixed to rear pastedowns, some toning, offsetting, and darkening to textblock; very good.
