APOLLO 13 LANDING TARGETS – Five charts, [1970]. Charts identifying Fra Mauro and other lunar objective targets of the Apollo 13 mission. The largest chart is SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Fred HAISE: “Fred Haise, Apollo 13 LMP.” Further details on the contents of this lot: 1. Lunar Orbital Science Flight Chart, Chart E, 2 of 3, Apollo Mission 13, Rev 19 through 39, 11 April 1970 Launch Date . Aeronautical Chart and Information Center, USAF for NASA. February 2, 1970. First Edition. 27 by 58 inches. Issued for the April 11, 1970 launch date. Scale 1:2,500,000 having multi-colored orbit plots and identified investigation areas. SIGNED and INSCRIBED "Fred HAISE Apollo 13 LMP." This section of the E series has the planned Command Service Module Odyssey ’s orbits passing directly over the landing site ellipse of Fra Mauro There are six pre-programed site targets marked in dark blue, green, purple, or brown around the landing area targeted for investigation. Other photographic and investigation markers are in the areas of the then possible future landing sites of Apollo 14, 16, and 17. Odyssey passes just south of the Apollo 11 and 12 landing sites which are also on this chart.
