SIGNED and INSCRIBED with their individual Apollo flight numbers by: Buzz ALDRIN, Gordon COOPER, Walt CUNNINGHAM, Richard GORDON Fred HAISE, Edgar MITCHELL, Wally SCHIRRA, and Tom STAFFORD. Additionally SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Alan BEAN above his artwork portraying David SCOTT dropping a hammer and feather on the moon surface during Apollo 15. Initial plans for Apollo during the early 1960s are described including the challenges between science interests and manned flight engineering. Flight crew selection and training, space vehicle operations, mission and lunar sample return planning are covered, as well as NASA's recovery from the Apollo 1 spacecraft fire. 10 by 7 inches. 415 pp. Original blue printed wrappers.
