Appianus, Alexandrinus. Historia Romana; De Bellis Civilibus, translated by Petrus Candidus Decembrius, 2 parts in 2 vol. (mixed set), collation: I: a-i10 k-n8 o10; II: a-c10 d12 e-x10, I: 131ff. (of 132, lacking initial blank), II: 211ff. (of 212, lacking initial blank), 31-33 lines and side-notes, Roman type, first title with full woodcut white vine on black border, second title with three-sided white vine on black border, woodcut white on black decorative initials in two sizes, part 1 bookplate or similar removed from lower margin of a2v leaving brown staining, later endpapers, part 2 occasional early ink marginalia, library ink stamp to outer margin of a2 and a couple of other margins, final leaf water-stained, occasional mostly marginal water-staining elsewhere, some foxing, both parts occasional small marginal worm trace or hole, some spotting and staining, lightly browned, part 1 later limp vellum, remains of ties, later ink title to spine, creased, part 2 18th century calf, rebacked, corners restored, marked and rubbed, 4to (I: 270 x 190mm.
