Captain Cook’s First, Second, Third, and Last Voyages Author: ** Place: London Publisher: Date: c.1785 Description: Images approx. 20x33 cm. (8x13") or smaller. Large collection of engraved plates, most from Anderson's Voyages published by Alexander Hogg, some from Fenning & Collyer's A New System of Geography or similar works. Most of the plates depict the Pacific Ocean and its inhabitants, and are primarily concerned with the voyages of Captain James Cook with many of Hawaii. Included is the Death of Capt. James Cook views on Tahiti and New Zealand, Oonalaska, the Friendly Islands, etc. etc. Lot Amendments Condition: Some with edge wear or margins trimmed at times affecting titles or imprints, generally very good.
