Title: Archive of photographs and documents Author: ** Place: Oahu Publisher: Date: [1920s-1957] Description: Archive comprising: 7 assorted tally sheets, clearance cards and report sheets from the Oahu Railway & Land Company. * Western Railroader magazine (Vol. 20, No. 4. Feburary, 1957. Issue No. 208.) 16 pp. article by Fred A. Stindt on the Oahu Railway and Land Company, illustrated with numerous photographs. * 13 black and white photographs (4½x3¼) of railway cars, taken in October, 1957. The railway was a narrow-gauge common carrier that had its heyday during WWII, when it carried civilians, servicemen and freight. Officially the Oahu Railway and Land Company went out of business in the late 1940s, although train buffs continued their interest in this line, and ran excursions until 1950. Lot Amendments Condition: Some magazine pages loose; light edge wear to a few sheets, otherwise very good. Item number: 199223
