Engraved title page (one lacking) and 51 engraved plates presumably by Girolamo Porro 2 parts in one volume, 4to, 19th-century calf, central gilt panel with center and corner ornaments built up with small tools on both covers, spine elaborately gilt in 7 compartments, one with morocco lettering piece, spine evenly darkened and with light wear at ends, joints starting; lacks first gathering (*4 including engraved title) and 2nd l4 (blank), some light browning, a few marginal tears or chips, minor marginal soiling. Mortimer Italian 30: "The most elaborate of the sixteenth-century editions;" Adams A1677; Brunet I:436.
