Art Deco Gold, Agate, Carved Nephrite Jade, Cabochon Ruby and White Enamel Paper/Note Holder, Cartier 14 kt., the rectangular-shaped agate centering a hinged fancy-shaped gold plaque accented by ivory enamel decoration, centering one oval carved nephrite jade panel approximately 43.0 x 21.0 mm., quartered by 4 cabochon rubies, signed Cartier, no. 5274, circa 1930. 3 7/16 x 2 1/2 inches. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE THE PAPER/NOTE HOLDER CENTERS ONE OVAL CARVED NEPHRITE JADE PANEL, NOT JADE AS STATED IN THE CATALOGUE. C
Agate: transucent, good condition, 3 7/16 x 2 1/2 x 3/16". Carved jade: deep green, medium to good luster. Moderate enamel loss on 2 scrolls. Minor enamel loss on one scroll. Slightly visible to eye. Cabochon rubies: deep raspberry red, good polish.
