Burne-Jones to Augusta Jones, n.d.; "I must ask you to postpone coming after all -- it must seem too absurd to you, but I think I have got into this state through overwork & I will begin drawing from you again in a fortnight -- I must take a complete rest at present or else I shall have to join the asylum next door." Burne-Jones to Mrs. Hart [July 1872]: "...can you come to my help again. I want to finish a head I began from you 4 years ago and as soon as I can do it the better..." Whistler to Milly Jones, n.d.: "Forgive my sending this so late at night -- but I am unable to work from you tomorrow and would like to put off our sittings until the Sunday and Monday fortnight...This notice comes upon you suddenly and of course I am responsible for your time tomorrow and the day after."
