ASHENDENE PRESS -- SPENSER, Edmund. Minor Poems containing the Shepheardes Calender [etc], [London:] The Ashendene Press, 1925. 2°, Subiaco type, printed in black and red and in double column on Batchelor paper, initials designed by Graily Hewitt, original calf-backed vellum, spine lettered in gilt (extremities lightly rubbed). LIMITED TO 200 COPIES. Ashendene Press XXXV: "...the last of the Ashendene Press Folios printed in the Subiaco type"; Tomkinson p. 8, no. 38. A proof bifolium sheet from the above work inscribed, "This sheet was pulled by George W. Jones at the Ashendene Press, Shelley House, Chelsea, on dry paper. 20 February, 1925. C. H. St. John Hornby," and a printed invitation from Antony Hornby and Alfred Beit to a function, are both loosely inserted.
