A RITUAL BRONZE GRAIN SERVING VESSEL AND COVER, DUI China, Eastern Zhou dynasty, 5th–3rd century BC The large hemispherical vessel surmounted by a domed lid with a large circular handle, two ring handles near the upper part of the body, the entire outer surface decorated with minute geometric motifs arranged in parallel horizontal bands, the interior of the handle of the lid with a fine motif of interlaced dragons. 19 cm high Provenance : Fabrizio Savi collection, acquired from a private collector in Bruxelles between 1995 and 2000. * The scientific analyzes carried out on 13/4/2000 by the Brussels Art Laboratory. Nuclear Section. Institut Superieur Industriel de Bruxelles confirm the proposed dating.
