Autograph Collection.- Opera Singers and Actors Collection of letters, photographs, souvenir programmes and ephemera signed by famous musicians, actors and singers, including: Adelina Patti (note clipped from the close of letter), Agnes Nicholls Harty, George Robey (signed card featuring a self-caricature and reading "Many thanks old man for your kind wire and wishes"), G. H. Elliott, Louis Napoleon Parker, Charles Kean (clipped signature), Henry Irving, Charles Hallé, Gordon Jacob (autograph letter to Mrs Dribbell, saying "I am delighted that you enjoyed my Suite so much. I was much encouraged and pleased with the performance and reception of the work. Alas, it is not recorded. When people ask about recordings I suggest that they write to some of the recording companies, who may eventually wake up!", 1 December 1957), Gina Bachauer, Irene Koheler, David James Billy Cotton, Herbert Beerbohm Tree, Charles Wyndham, Henry J. Wood Wilhelm Backhaus and others, v.s., mid-19th and 20th century (quantity).
