AUTOGRAPH MANUSCRIPTS - A collection of autograph manuscripts, comprising: Victor MASSÉ. Autograph working manuscript of the recitatives and variant finale of Les Noces de Jeanette , with numerous corrections, deletions and amendments throughout, scored for piano and voices, mostly in black ink with additional instructions to the engraver in red crayon, approximately 40 leaves, with additional half or quarter leaves pinned in, 2°, (274 x 352mm.). The opera was first performed in 1853 with enormous success, and the recitatives were written for the second version of the opera, published by Grus in circa 1860, and an albumblatt signed and dedicated to le Prince Caradja. - Charles LECOCQ Autograph manuscript of a Gavotte , scored for wind and strings, black ink, 4 pages, oblong 2° . originally written for piano, this Gavotte was first published in 1868 but there appears to be no published orchestral version. - Charles LENEPVEU. Autograph manuscript of extracts from the opera Velléda with autograph inscription stating that the pieces here were arranged for concert purposes, full score, comprising eight separate sections of which six are unpublished autograph and two printed, 174 pages in all, 2° .- Paul LACOMBE. Autograph manuscript, signed twice, of Prélude pour Orchestre entitled Prélude pour un drame lyrique on the first page, piano score, black ink with additional markings in blue crayon, 4 pages, 2° . This work is not listed among the composer's published works. - Eugen d'ALBERT. Autograph manuscript signed of Adante Con moto , scored for 'cello and piano, 15 bars, black ink, 1 page of a bifolium . Apparently unpublished - Max d' OLLONE. Three autograph manuscripts signed of Pastiche de Gounod, Le Papillon ; Pastorale et Farandole pour orchestre and Hymne à la Musique , approximately 20 pages in all . - Ernest GUIRAUD. Albumblatt of Piccolino 1 . . Acte , dedicated to Mme Chabrier - Marie CABEL and Bartolemo PISANI. Albumblatt recto and verso. - Isidore de LARA. A collection of autograph manuscripts for his operas, including Naïl, Soléa and the Three Musketeers , parts and scores, black ink and pencil. - Max and Anton WUNDERER.
