Autographs Major-General Charles George Gordon 1857 (1 June) "Quarterly Account of Pay and Allowances of Officers Employed with Lieut. Col. Simmond in the East" on broad sheet folded for filing. Signed by the relevant recipients "Simmond", "H. H. Jones", "Edward R. James", "C. G. Gordon" and "S. P. Woodfall". Photo Between April and October of 1857 Gordon served in Erzeroum, Armenia to implement the frontier line between Turkey and Russia. Later in life, Gordon became well known as Governor-General of the Sudan.
