The same page is inscribed by the lyricist: "Mr & Mrs. Francis Hann, with all good wishes, Rachael Field." Beneath is a third inscription: "May you enjoy this book with the autographs of the authors and those of the donors, who wish you a merry Christmas, Dora Heffner, December 25, 1940." Beneath Dora's signature is another, likely belonging to her husband. Disney commissioned Field, an award-winning children’s author, to write the lyrics for the version of Schubert’s ‘Ave Maria’ used in the groundbreaking 1940 film Fantasia; this book was released in conjunction with the film. Very scarce with these wonderful signatures and inscriptions. Laid in is a certificate of authenticity from R.R. Auction.
