First and only edition of a collection of charts depicting ports and harbours on the Mediterranean. Including charts of Marseille, Îles Sainte-Marguerite, Antibes, Monaco, Naples, Barcelona, Livorno, Corsica, Majorca and many others. Engraved double-page title, 79 double-page engraved plates, 3 of which folding, comprising 69 charts and 10 plates of coastal profiles (some offsetting, a few light spots, ‘Golfe de Marseille’ chart partially torn along fold). Contemporary mottled calf, French royal arms gilt on covers, anchor and fleur-de-lis motifs on spine (a few scratches, restored at spine, joints and extremities slightly affecting gilt arms).
