Beschreibung:

Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig Mosaic Topps Card Collages (2) These meticulously assembled framed display pieces are made up of thousands of colorful Topps Micro baseball cards (each 1” by 1 3/8”) set in columns and rows which, when gazed upon from a few feet away, appear to be lifelike portraits of Yankee sluggers Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Gehrig is, of course, making his famous heartfelt farewell speech, while the Ruth image is a close up head shot inspired by the famous photo taken by Charles Conlon. Both limited edition pieces are signed by their creator, Richard Cronin. Ruth is numbered “3/166,” matching his uniform number and making it the premier edition in the series. Gehrig is numbered “1/166” making it a marquis number within its own series. Both are framed to overall dimensions of 50” by 40”.
