Half-titles, list of subscribers, advertisement leaf after p.76 in vol I and binder's note at end of vol I. (Some foxing and browning, as usual.) 50 hand-colored engraved plates (some browning and offsetting from text). Contemporary tree calf (few repairs to spines, lightly rubbed); cloth slipcase. Provenance : William D. Gallagher, Philadelphia (pencil signature on pastedown); Dr. James Norris (ink signatures on titles); Gordon W. Jones M.D., Falmouth, Virginia (bookplate). FIRST EDITION.
