Hand-colored engraved frontispiece, hand-colored engraved vignette on title, 19 hand-colored engraved plates after H. Alken and T.J. Rawlins. Red levant morocco, covers with single gilt-ruled border enclosing large gilt interlacing panel of geometric design with gilt and blind circlets, upper cover SET WITH AN OVAL SCENE OF MYTTON RIDING A BEAR (107x81 mm), in vari-colored morocco, spine in 6 compartments with 5 raised bands, gilt-lettered in 2 compartments, a repeated geometric panel in the rest, gilt inner dentelles, edges gilt concealing a fore-edge painting of A MEETING AT COVER; modern red cloth slipcase, worn (lower joint cracked, light rubbing).
