I with title detached, torn at inner margin and with additional stamp of the American Medical Association, B7 of the same vol. also torn at inner margin, vol. II and II with ownership inscription cut from title, the excision repaired in vol. II), non-uniform binding of contemporary marbled boards or contemporary calf (crudely rebacked in cloth, spines again worn) [DSB p. 564; Wellcome III, p. 129] -- John BROWN (1735-1788). The Works [with] A biographical account of the author by William Cullen Brown , London: for J. Johnson 1804, 3 volumes in one, 8°, folding letterpress table (cleanly but severely torn, title to vol. I with library perforation, some browning, final leaves a little scorched at upper margin, half title and errata leaf at end damaged at inner margin), old mottled boards backed in blue buckram.
