Nuremberg and Eichstätt: Strauss, 1713(-1750)]. 3 volumes bound in one, broadsheets (535 x 430mm). 366 engraved plates (only, of 367) by Kilian, Dominicus and Raphael Custos Georg Gärtner Johann Leypold, Levin and Friedrick van Hulsen, Peter Isselburg Servatius Raeven, Heinrich Ulrich and possibly others, after Daniel Herzog, Georg Grtner and others. Woodcut tailpieces and initials, 11 index leaves (only, of 14) giving plant names in Latin and German, dispersed at the end of each seasonal section, descriptive text printed on the recto of each plate except that of the 'Lilium Martagon' between \Kc\k13 and A13, engraved plates cancellans slips pasted over signatures on D12 and D23. (Lacking the allegorical engraved title, leaf F12 with plate to verso, and 5 text leaves comprising: address to the reader, R2, R3, and the index leaves to Spring and Winter, first 14 leaves loose, leaf o(o) almost detached, the detached leaves chipped and frayed with occasional loss to images, light fraying to lower margin caused by damp, light marginal staining to F7 and G7, P11 torn into text and image without loss, E14 spotted, K23 and II:F3 cropped into image.)
