Titles to each part with woodcut allegorical illustrations, large criblé initials, woodcut illustrations including 5 full-page (first title repaired on verso and stained mainly at margin, some mainly marginal staining to first few leaves touching a few letters, a few light stains and spots, Ciii in vol. one repaired at lower margin). Contemporary calf (rather worn, joints split, some surface cracking). Provenance : Gervas Holmes (armorial bookplate) -- Gawdy Hall Library (label) -- Paul Howard Beves (ex-libris sticker).
