[14] ff., 746 pp., [28 pp.].A very clean, sound copy (albeit washed), with the oval book label on the front paste-down of the great Huth Library. Very light wear to the binding. The English College at Rhemes was the center of English Catholicism, and this translation was largely done there by Gregory Martin, with the assistance of Cardinal William Allen and others. This was the first English language Bible published for a specifically Catholic audience. C
