With 2 titles printed in red and black within handcoloured woodcut frame (part 1 lacks title and woodcut portrait, title to part III with tape-mended tear in outer margin), near contemporary handcoloured woodcut illustrations by Jost Amman Later (late 17th century) full leather binding over wooden boards, worn, some mendings, brass clasps and fittings, mended in the hinges, lacks endpapers, blank spine in seven compartments. Inside of covers with red sealing wax marks. Collation: (19, lacks title, portrait signed )(ii and last blank leaf signed bviii), 7 (lacks leaf 1-6) - 316 (lacks leaf 15-16, 23 and 172-173); (1)-216; (1), 218-370 (lacks leaf 360-363 and 366), (2); (129, lacks last leaf signed Xviii with woodcut printer's device) ll.
