Title: Bisbee, Arizona: "Out Where the West Begins" Author: Place: [Bisbee, AZ] Publisher: [F.A. McKinney] Date: [1927] Description: [16] pp. Illustrated from photographs. 23x20.5 cm. (9x8"), original photo pictorial wrappers designed to be folded vertically. Scarce promotional and tourist brochure on the little city of Bisbee, Arizona, just across the border from Naco, Mexico, with an economy, and landscape, dominated by copper mining. The town looks much the same today as it did in 1927, and the roads don't seem to have been paved since then as well, though the population at around 5,000 is only about a third of what it once was. The brochure folds in half, with p. [1] creating front and back cover; title is repeated on front and back cover, while subtitle straddles both. OCLC/WorldCat lists only three copies, at Yale, the University of Arizona, and the Arizona Historical Society. Lot Amendments Condition: Rubbing along fold of front wrapper; very good. Item number: 289065
