Bizzarri (or Bizari, 1525-c.1586) converted to protestantism around 1542-3 and spent most of the years between 1549 and 1572 in England, during which time he entered the service of Francis Russell, earl of Bedford, gained a pension from Elizabeth I through the mediation of Archbishop Parker, and eventually served as an intelligencer for William Cecil and later for Francis Walsingham.
