Hand-coloured engraved frontispiece and 19 wood-engraved plates, 16 hand-coloured (occasional light spotting). Contemporary dark blue roan gilt, spine lettered in gilt (tear to head of spine, upper inner hinges broken, extremities lightly rubbed, lightly scuffed). Provenance: Gerald Oldfield (bookplate) -- old marginal annotation to a few plates. Westwood & Satchell p.33.
