Engraved frontispiece portrait, 7 engraved maps, plates and plans, 5 folding. (First blank detached, portrait and some plates offset, title and last page browned at margins, frontispiece spotted). Contemporary calf, fully gilt flat spine, green calf label, (joints split, spine rubbed, chipped at head and foot), modern tan cloth slipcase. Provenance : William Lloyd, Aston, 1806 (armorial bookplate). ONE OF VERY FEW COPIES OF THE FIRST EDITION SPECIALLY PRINTED and issued to include the "Narrative of the Mutiny" with the 1790 title-page, complete and with separate pagination. The Voyage is broken at p. 153 (p. 154 blank); chapters 13-18 are replaced with the 1790 Narrative, with the 2 folding maps printed on blue paper, and the Voyage continued at p. 246 (p. 245 blank) with chapter 19. Ferguson 126.
