The revolutionary Dáil Éireann leader Eamon de Valera visited the United States in 1919-1920 with the goal to gain both a popular and an official recognition for the new Irish Republic and to get financing. By the time he returned to Ireland, he had raised $6 million. The Dáil Éireann was short-lived however, ending in 1922. Only 4 located by OCLC / Worldcat.
