(First gathering including title tipped-in on front endpaper, first title a little soiled, some leaves with light marginal waterstaining.) Contemporary calf over wooden boards, lavishly stamped in black with floral motifs and fleur-de-lys in between triple fillet parallel lines, brass clasps (rebacked, leather ties of clasps renewed, rear cover quite scuffed). Provenance : Albertus Crantzius (old inscription on first title) – H.V. Nobelbeck (old inscription on first title) – scored inscription at head of first title. A GOOD COPY OF THE RARE 1511 LYON EDITION : another edition was printed in Paris in the same year. The work contains the life of Boniface (leaves 275-276) not called for in Adams.
