Bonnes Mares--Vintage 1962
3 magnums per lot
Bonnes Mares--Vintage 1962 Côte de Nuits, Domaine G. Roumier Levels: one 2cm, one 2.5cm and one 3cm; Original lead capsule cut for inspection, Domaine vintage branded cork clearly visible; one nicked neck label, one corner torn label, one slightly wrinkled label, very light bin soiled label, otherwise in pristine condition "Still ruby in the center with moderate bricking at the edges. The nose just explodes from the glass, revealing simply fantastically perfumed, pure and complex aromas of earth, game, tea, spice and liqueur-like extract followed by wonderfully detailed, focused and powerful flavors and a rich finish that simply goes on and on. There is a remarkable intensity and vibrancy here which is amazing given that it is now 40+ years of age. One of the best examples of Roumier's Bonnes Mares that I have ever tasted and one that should live for another 20 years if well stored. Consistent notes." BH, May 21, 2005 3 magnums per lot
