(6 1/4 x 4 in.), written in dark brown ink in a neat bastarda script, ruled in red ink, single columns of 21 lines, justification (95 x 63 mm.), 13 LARGE MINIATURES AND 14 SMALL MINIATURES, 27 pages with three-sided geometrically panelled borders incorporating floral sprays on matte gold grounds and blue and gold foliate arabesques on natural grounds, numerous 1-4 line initials in matte gold on red, blue, or brown grounds, one 4- line initial in pink modelled in white on matte gold ground, rubricated. Lacking text after fol. 13, also possibly after fol. 37. Some flaking of pigment, a few marginal stains, occasional smudging of borders or text, four leaves with slight tears in margins. Binding Sixteenth-century green velvet over pasteboard, edges gilt, very worn, rebacked, four ties missing .
