BOTERO, Giovanni (1540-1617). Le relationi universali , Venice: Alessandro Vecchi, 1618. 7 parts in one volume, 4° (214 x 155mm.). 4 folding engraved maps and 32 large woodcuts, mostly depicting oriental monsters, by Alessandro de Vecchi, woodcut portraits on titles, mostly of Aretino. (Lacks all after C 8 in the last part, first title repaired at inner corners with very slight loss, 2 maps repaired with old adhesive tape, a few short tears, especially in the section with the woodcuts, a few light spots and stains). Contemporary vellum. Provenance : old illegible ownership inscription on front free endpaper. Brunet I, 1143; Sabin 6806; cf. Vinciana 1090 'Importante è la IV P. con le fig. dei mostri, parte che può stare anche a sè'.
