II damp-stained at outer margin), contemporary straight-grained green morocco, covers with borders in gilt and blind framing a central gilt vignette of Shakespeare, ornate gilt spines (extremities rubbed, some scuff marks, upper cover of vol. II damp-stained), t.e.g. The illustration to Act IV, Scene I, of Midsummer Night's Dream, showing Oberon, Titania, Puck, Bottom and the Fairies, is by Thomas Ryder after Fuseli (sheet size 505 x 700mm).
