Ich wünschte die Sachen baldmöglichst zurück u. nach alter lieber Gewohnheit laß auch hören was Du über sie denkst'. Published in Briefwechsel mit Julius Otto Grimm (Berlin, 1908), p.89. The parcel contained a large group of compositions, including the Sextet, op.18, the Marienlieder, op.22, and the XIII Psalm, op.27.
