With his business virtually destroyed as a result of the conflict he came up with a plan whereby his clients could order a watch by paying a down payment and then the balance when the watch was delivered. This allowed him to finance the business and rebuild very successfully. The design and influence of these early pocket watches can clearly be identified in the La Tradition which Breguet have presented with a openwork dial to exhibit the exquisitely finished movement that pays homage to their triumphant founding father.
