British Antarctic Expedition 'Terra Nova' (1910-1913). An early 20th century autograph album containing eight signatures of the Terra Nova expedition, EL Atkinson, E Evans 'Teddy Evans' (Shore party), C Meares, E Nelson, R Priestly, EA Wilson signed pencil sketch of a penguin (Scientific staff), F Drake, H Pennell (Ships' party), also containing signatures of Plymouth Maritime Laboratory staff and other personal verse with signatures, together with Edward Adrian Wilson Dr (1872-1912) 'A present from New Zealand', watercolour, depicting a sailor with a saucepan beside a turtle emerging from the sea, signed lower right, 22.5 x 15cm (2)* Note Edward Adrian Wilson (1872-1912) was assistant surgeon on the Discovery 190-04 and subsequently Chief of Scientific staff and biologist aboard the Tera Nova 1910-13. A close friend of captain Scott he was one of the ill fated shore party who perished on the return from the South Pole along with Scott, Oates, Bowers and Evans.
