The Architectural Antiquities of Great Britain, represented and illustrated in a series of views, elevations, plans, sections, and details, of various Ancient English Edifices...London: for Longman, Hurst, Rees and Orme 1807-26. 5 vols., 4to , A CATHEDRAL BINDING of contemporary dark blue straight-grained morocco, covers framed by wide gilt-tooled floral border enclosing a large gilt representation of a gothic window, spines in six gilt-tooled and gilt-dotted compartments, turn-ins with gilt Greek key border, g.e., paste-down endpapers with blind-stamped border, discreetly rehinged but most joints cracking, wear to corners and to head of spine of vol. 5, lacking a folding plate, adhesive stain to fol. I1v of vol. 1, with loss to a few letters, some offsetting, occasional minor marginal dampstaining; unboxed . FIRST EDITION, 7 additional etched titles (vols. 1 and 5 each with two), 353 etched plates (4 double-page). (5)
