On a large pure white Carrara marble base with carved sunset artillery landscape scene on the front and uniforms, arms and armor on the back; left side is inscribed "Le Jour De Gloire Est Arrive" (The day of glory has come) and on the left "Ingresso Napoleone A Mosca, Il 14 Settembre, 1812" (Napoleon enters Moscow, September 14, 1812) and the marble is signed "Prof. A. Patrilli, Firenze" (Aristide Petrilli Italian, 1868-1930). Missing right stirrup and light war to the marble base. Dimensions: 21.75 in. high x 16 in. wide x 8 in. deep. Weight: 66.75 lbs.
