BROOKER, T. Kimball. Sixteenth Century Bookbindings from Italy and France in the Library of T. Kimball Brooker . Chicago, Illinois: privately published, December 1988. 280 x 215 mm. Typed on a wordprocessor. Numerous color photos pasted in. Original mauve buckram, gilt lettering. Provenance : typed letter signed by the author to B.H. Breslauer and Hardy Grieb, with carbon copy reply from the former. Revised second issue -- limited to no more than half a dozen copies -- of a paper submitted to the Department of Art History, University of Chicago, to qualify for the degree of Master of Arts. A scholarly investigation of the magnificent Renaissance bindings in the author's own collection, and a fine piece of 1980s desktop publishing.
