BRUYN, de Nicolaes (1571 - 1656) Genii with animals (Hollstein 268-273) the complete set of six engravings including title, 1594, fine impressions, published by Asiwerus van Londerseel, with narrow margins, apparently in good condition, hinged at the sheet corners; and another of two children attacked by lions by the same hand, dated 1594, the plate numbered '7', possibly from Fighting Chimeras and Scenes to Aesop's Fables Sheets 2 x 3 in. (50 x 90 mm.) Provenance : Acquired from Wallach, 1956
