Bugatti 101 Coupè 4 seaters 1952 Technical drawing by Studio G. Michelotti & C., Torino. Pencil on tracing paper. Side view. Frame sizes: 14.17 x 22.83 in. This drawing dated May 5, 1952 depicts a 4-seater version. Despite the chassis and the sporting characteristics of the whole the bodywork hypothesis has a very classic and sober shape. The Type 101 was built in 1951 on the chassis of the old Type 57, from which it also inherited the engine, an 8-cylinder in-line engine of 3257 cm³. It was built in just seven examples between 1951 and 1956. Today exists a unique specimen on Bugatti chassis No. 57561 produced precisely in 1952 of which the origin can be traced to this drawing. Today it is visible at the Musée National de l'Automobile in Mulhouse in France.
