A manuscript leaf and ca. 54 printed items (7 of these bound in 1 vol.), various formats (c.137-330 x c.110-260mm). Illustrations. (Some soiling.) Most in original bindings or in covers supplied by the artist (some wear, a very few items with covers detached). Provenance : Nell and George Perret, Boris Koten, 'Mr. Bocour', Sergei Sudeikin, 'Lucie Manevich-Vidane', and others (inscriptions from the artist). A substantial collection of publications by or about David Burliuk, 24 OF THESE INSCRIBED OR WITH ORIGINAL ARTWORK BY BURLIUK, including: K 25-tiletiiu khudozhestvenno literaturnoi deiatel'nosti (1924) with covers with original artwork renaming the work 'Biografiia i Stikhi' and with an original drawing bound in; Manifesto Radio Style (1926) with an original drawings tipped-in; Iskusstvo Davida D. Burliuka (1930) inscribed to Sergei Sudeikin; Poeziia Davida Burliuka (1931) with an original watercolour tipped-in; Literaturnyi Trud Davida Burliuka with an original drawing and with covers with original artwork; Color and Rhyme issues 12 and 13 in covers with original artwork; a number of inscribed copies of various issues of Color and Rhyme c.1963-1966; the original artwork for an invitation to an exhibition at the Sonia Sadron Studio of Painting, and other inscribed items. The remainder of the collection consists of various publications, including Po tikhomu okeanu , Morskaia Povest (1927), Serp i Molot 1932, and exhibition catalogues and issues of Color and Rhyme (issues 9, 31, 48, 49, 66), and a copy typescript recollection by Nicholas Burliuk of his parents. Sold as a collection of periodicals not subject to return. (55)
