Autograph letter to Dr. Charles Burney of Kent.
Windsor Castle: November 1812. 1 p., with integral address panel (228 x 186mm). A warm note to her dear “Carlucci” announcing her imminent departure from Windsor Castle and expressing the wish to see him. [With:] Autograph letter signed “F. d’Arblay” to Mr. Chaplin. Half Moon Street: 14 November 1829. 2pp., with integral leaf blank (182 x 113mm). A charming thank you note to Mr. Chaplin for his calming letter. Condition: guarded and laid down, remnants of wax seal, text lightly faded in some areas, usual folds, some occasional spotting. [With:] Autograph letter signed “Wm Clarke” to Alex D’Arblay Esq. of Surrey. London: 22 July 1796. 2pp., with integral address leaf (230 x 186mm). Condition: some occassional spotting, minor creases, tape repairs, evidence of mounting. A complimentary note addressed to Fanny Burney’s husband, Alexandre D’Arblay, “No favor could have been so flattering for me, Sir, as that of investing my Name in a Work of Mrs. D’Arblay’s .
