N.p.], 1812. 1 p. laid down on card (102 x 185 mm). Condition: postmarks showing through, mild spotting. Provenance: sale Sotheby’s London, 15 July 1998, lot 49. Charles Burney sends regards to his daughter Fanny and to “all around you” at Paris. Docketed by Fanny, “Written by my dear Father at 86…after my return to England [in August1812] from a Ten Years residence in France--& total absence”. Fanny nursed her father from the time of her return in 1812 until his death two years later.
