c.1925 FORD MODEL T TOURER Registration No. Formerly 253-652 - Texas USA Chassis No. Tba Black with yellow coachlines and black upholstery Engine: four cylinder in-line, side valves, 2.9 liters, 22bhp; Gearbox; two-speed epicyclic; Suspension: front and rear by transverse semi-elliptic leaf spring; Brakes: mechanical drum to rear. Left hand drive. This is a rather charming and original example which we believe to date from 1925, since the car still wears an original Texas registration plate from that year. Presented in black livery with standard matched trim, the bodywork has been livened up from Henry Ford's famed livery by a full set of coachlines, which serve to itemize the various features of this particular series of Tourers. The car has been in storage at the Gables Service Station which has been entirely sympathetic and ensured that it has survived well after many years of been laid up. As a result of this we expect that the car will be a relatively straightforward project to return to the road.
